In addition to treating gum disease around teeth and implants, the PerioLase Nd-YAG laser also allows us to perform a number of esthetic gum procedures to help our patients create, keep, and maintain a healthy and happy smile.

Gum depigmentation is a procedure that allows us to remove dark patches of gum tissue that may bother some patients when they smile. This particular laser is attracted to pigment, making it the ideal choice for this procedure.

The PerioLase also allows us to perform functional esthetic procedures such as frenectomies and gingivectomies. A frenectomy removes the strong piece of tissue between front teeth that can sometimes cause a gap between them. A gingivectomy removes excess gum tissue that helps shorter teeth appear longer when smiling.
